Jom ke Jogja dengan Air Asia (Part 1)

Salam semua,

Sampai Jogja jam 13:30 time Jogja. Sebelum kesana, tanpa pengetahuan Sara, saya dah email ke hotel minta dia orang tulis nama Sara bila buat paging semasa ketibaan kami.

Dia bilang kayak gini (hebat dak bahasa Indonesia saya), "saya senang banget sama Safee Sali. Larinya kenceng. Kalau nonton, saya senang kalau Safee yang main, tapi kalau Irfan Bachdim itu, saya kurang." Hebatkan Safee Sali? Alhamdulilah, pandai dia bawa diri di negara orang.

Sesampai dihotel lebih kurang jam 3:00petang, kami check in dan lepas tu terus keluar cari makan. Maklumlah, kalau ikutkan jam Malaysia, waktu tu dah pun pukul empat petang. Kami jalan menyusur laluan pejalan kaki di luar hotel. Agak jauh berjalan, kami ternampak satu kedai makan ni, dari luar nampak tak bermaya dan gelap. (tapi saya nampak kebanyakkan kedai makan disana nampak kurang berseri, mungkin kurang lampu atau pencahayaan) Kami redah masuk jugak sebab dah kelaparan. Sara agak payah tapi saya tahu selera dia.
Sebab apa saya menulis hal makan ni? Sebab bila saya order mee ayam pangsit, rasanya sangatlah sedap, out of this world gitu.

Kami masih agak keliru dengan time difference ni.

Padang jarak padang tekukur

Runtuhan rumah penduduk kampong disebabkan awan panas sebelum gunung meletus

Let's go Yogyakarta with Air Asia (Part 1)

Hello and Merry Christmas to all my Christian readers!

We had great fun, discover amazing things and visited extra ordinary places. That's to simply describe  our vacation in Yogyakarta about a week ago.
We stayed at a hotel with friendly and attentive staff, a vast selection of buffet and situated at a good location.
We, Sara ,Sophie and I managed to visit this city courtesy from Air Asia. Actually Sara won two return tickets to this city last July. We made decision to go in December since Sara will only finish her final exam in late November and Sophie ended her semester in mid December.
Air Asia had given us an opportunity to visit and discover the wonders of Jogjakarta. Many would have thought Jogja was a dull place. I believe any new place is a fun place to explore as long as we know how to discover new things and make full use of it.

We left Kuala Lumpur at 12:00pm and reached Jogjakarta at 13:30hrs (Jogja time). The flight was on schedule and upon arrival, we were greeted by the hotel representative. It's been a long time since I put on my heels and it blistered a little. Since it's a long way to where the car was parked, I took off my shoes and walked bare-footed until we reached where our transportation was. Got in the car and it took just about half an hour to get to our hotel, the Grand Aston Hotel.

You guys know what we did the moment we reached the hotel? We went out to scout for some local food. We found one local cafe and it didn't look very welcoming. Very dim and lifeless atmosphere. But that didn't dampen our spirits. Both Sophie and I are quite adventurous when it comes to food trying. Sara was always a little skeptical but we know how to handle her. I ordered a few dishes for us, a plate of seafood fried rice, a bowl of chicken noodles, steamed shrimp in a crusted pastry and some chicken satay. All together (include the drinks) we paid about 20 Malaysian Ringgit. A very good price indeed!

The picture didn't do any justice to the taste of this noodle.

After that great meal, we headed back towards the hotel and hit the shower. We were so tired that the three of us agreed to laze inside the hotel and not doing anything. We made plan for the next day. I've shopped around for the best price to hire a car and a driver for a day. I finally agreed to a 10 hour tour (car/gas/driver included) at RM120.00. The tour were to include Borobudur and Mount Merapi.

The next day (19th.Dec ) we were ready at the hotel lobby by 10:50am. Our tour will start at 11:00am. The driver was punctual. He arrived on time but we had to wait for Mai (Sophie's Indonesian friend) for about twenty minutes as she got caught in a massive jam.
After a brief discussion with our driver, Yanto, we took off. Our first stop was Borobudur Temple. I was never an enthusiast for any historical sites but I made this place an exception. Everybody was saying you didn't see Jogja until you see Borobudur, so I decided to give it a go. It took about 50 minutes from our hotel to the temple. The entrance tickets was charged at RM50.00 per adult. Sophie got a fifty percent off since she brought along her student card. Since Mai is a local, her price was just RM10.00. After paying for our tickets, we were given each a bottle of mineral and a sarong where we had to wear as a way for respect whilst visiting the temple.

The temple was magnificent even while we were walking towards it. The color of the stone, the structure and the surroundings made it look even better. Only thing is, like I said earlier, I was never an enthusiast for old things, I simply didn't have the knowledge on how to appreciate the beauty of historical sites or some other relics. We walked around for about one hour and later on we walked down to where our driver was waiting.

Unlike the Borobudur temple, my eyes caught something rather quickly...and appreciatively. I saw a vendor selling satay, that skewered meat dipped in tasty peanut sauce. My eyes were glued. The girls tried their best to distract me but I won't budge. This, I am truly good at. By the look of it, I knew for sure it must taste like heaven. The way they sell the satay, remind me of how these delicacies were sold back home some forty years ago. A rather nostalgic moment for me. True to a T, it was heavenly delicious!

We left Borobudur roughly at 1.30pm and was heading towards Mount Merapi when an unfortunate incident happened. Our car met with an accident. Not our driver's fault. He stopped at a T-junction waiting for the traffic to clear. From afar we can see a motorcycle coming towards us at a killing speed. Sara and I were looking at the motorcyclist and both of us must have had the same thought, he's gonna collide onto us. True to our thoughts, he did. His motorcycle rammed directly at the driver's door. He fell on the ground with blood gushing out from his forehead and nose. All the four of us sat still, stunned by it while our driver took charge. He pushed hard to open the door (as it stuck after the knock) and went out to settle the matter. Lucky thing for all, there was a police on a motorcycle riding right behind the motorcyclist who knocked against us. The matter was settled in less than half an hour.

We were a bit shaken by the incident. It took us a while before everybody got the voices again. We stopped a while for lunch at a local restaurant.
We then made our way towards Mount Merapi, one of the active volcanoes in Indonesia. The last eruption was in 2010. Prior to that was in 2006. The locals believed it would erupt again in 2014. They said the sequel was every four years.  We arrived at Kaliurang, the foot of Mount Merapi and paid a minimal entrance fees. Our driver drove up a little bit more and stopped us there. From there (I think the place is called Tlogo Puteri) we hired a willy jeep to climb up the mountain. We paid RP 250,000.00 (equivalent to RM75.00).
I can't describe how I truly felt the moment I saw the ruins, the massive empty black land still smoking caused by the staggering eruption and the eerie quietness surrounded us except for the sound of other tourists jeeps.
The little houses that once sheltered the villagers was a total wreck. Nothing escaped the wrath of the volcano. The livestock, vegetation and even human could not stop or escape from any of these catastrophes even with the most advance technology.

Used to be a village before the eruption

We stopped at the last stop, the bunker. We had little time to wander inside the bunker before the sun goes down. We tried to go inside but it was too dark and the bunker looked a little creepy. The time was about five something in the evening when the darkness fell. It was like ten p.m. The bunker was built in the hope that it could accommodate some of the villagers should the volcano erupt. It didn't work the way it was planned. We were told two people died in that bunker. One died right at the front door and the other person died in the bathroom. They didn't have time to escape. Nobody knows for sure if they wanted to stay at the bunker or they were trying to escape to the nearest village. It was tragic.

We left Mount Merapi at a little after seven p.m. I left the place thinking the welfare of the villagers. What was the first thing to do for them after succeeding in fleeing away from the volcano? They can't return to a place once called home, they had nothing whatsoever left for them to start a new life, the worse of all they could have lost their loved ones in that disastrous phenomena. What's there to live for?

This trip was an educating trip for me and the girls. I see how people live from a different point of view. I thank God for what I have and I am blessed to be able to grow up and live in this country of mine without much of natural disaster.

That's all I am able to write for today. I will continue with the second part on Dieng Plateau. A breath taking view from the highlands.

Enjoy the pictures below that we managed to snap at some of the interesting places.

Biar sehingga ayam empuk. Sekarang tuangkan pula santan, gula merah, daun salam dan daun limau purut serta garam.
Biarkan mendidih dan kuah agak kekeringan.

Kus Kus

Assalamualaikum semua,

Cara penyediaannya pun sangat senang :

Kuskus ada di jual disupermarket biasa.

1 cawan kus kus
1 cawan air atau 1 cawan stok ayam
sepotong butter (anggaran 2 jari)
1 sudu makan minyak zaitun
sikit garam
sikit lada putih

1 cawan kuskus

Rose

FISH & CHIPS

Selamat petang,

Fish & Chips ni rasanya memang kegemaran ramai kan? Macam makanan harian orang Malaysia pulak. Walhalnya makanan orang British. Tak apa lah. Okay, selalunya saya buat kerja senang iaitu saya pakai bread crumb, tepung dan telur secara berasingan. Saya terlebih rajin jadi semuanya saya buat sendiri, bak kata orang home made. Saya buat tartar sauce sendiri, saya buat potato wedges sendiri.

Hari ni kita buat secara batter pulak. Sorry saya cari perkataan batter dalam bahasa melayu tak jumpa.Cara ni pun sama senangnya dengan cara dry batter tu. Pilih saja mana yang kita suka.

Bahan yang amat mudah nak di cari :

1 cawan tepung
1/4 cawan tepung beras
1/2 cawan air
2 biji (putih telur saja)
1/2 sudu teh baking soda
sikit garam dan lada hitam

Gaulkan semua bahan diatas kecuali telur dan air.
Bila dah gaul, baru masukkan air sedikit demi sedikit. Jangan semua takut cair pulak nanti.

Dua-dua pun sedap.

Resipi kedua : Tartar Sauce

Capers

1/2 cawan mayonnaise
2 sudu makan chopped pickles (kalau tak ada pun tak pa)
3 sudu sour cream
1 sudu besar capers (dicincang halus)
sikit garam dan gula
1 sudu olive oil
2 sudu teh perahan lemon

(Gaul semua sekali)

Dah siap. Ringkas kan makanan barat.

Anggaran Coast :
Ikan                   : RM 13:50
Telur                  : RM   1.20
Ubi kentang       : RM   0.60
Lain-lain bahan  : RM   5.00 (serba sedikit capers/sour cream/lemon/mayo dan lain2)

Jumlah              :  RM 20.30 untuk 5 orang

Masa penyediaan : 20 minit      Masa memasak : 30 minit

Kenduri Kahwin Yang Hebat

Selalunya bila kami keluar sunyi ja jalan besar disana. Mungkin disebabkan cuti sekolah sekarang.

Baru saja masuk melepasi tol, semua kenderaan bergerak macam kura-kura. Tersangatlah perlahannya.

Kata pukul tujuh, tapi jalannya pukul 7.30petang. Kami sampai dirumah pukul 9.45malam. Saya dah keletihan sangat. Tak nak buat apa lagi dah cuma nak masuk tidur saja.

The Little Trip and A Wedding Banquet

Yesterday I attended a wedding. My uncle's son got married. As usual if we were to travel outside the island we had to leave by the earliest boat possible. So, we took a 07.30am boat. Only three of us went, Sara, my husband and I.
Once reached the mainland, we rented a car from the usual operator for half a day. We planned to return later in the evening. Since December is Malaysia's longest school holidays, I can see heavy crowd waiting for their boat to the island. Thus, to be on the safe side, I decided to get our ferry tickets endorsed at 18:00hrs for the return trip.

The traffic was quite heavy, so we decided to use the expressway. My husband took the wheel the first leg of the trip. As usual, my M.C, Sara was bright as the sunshine entertaining me with her non-stop chatter about her Korean favourite group, about her friends and endless info about Korean music. She switched off the radio and turn on her Korean music from her i_Pad.  Does she bore me? Let's put it this way. I have to listen since I am her only friend during this long school break.
The trip took us about two hours.

Once we were about to reach my uncle's house, I rang my cousin, Yang, who lived about a kilometer away from my uncle's house and asked for directions. If I am not mistaken, the last time I went to his house was about fifteen years ago, it could be more.
We reached his house at about 12:45pm. My uncle and his wife, Aunt Zakiah was at the porch receiving all their invited guests. My uncle looked moved when he saw me coming. I gave him a tight hug and then his wife. His son, the bridegroom was standing next to his parents welcoming us with his newly wed wife.
The best part was when I saw all my favourite cousins and aunts standing behind my uncle smiling broadly the moment they saw us. We started squealing, laughing, joking and exchanging remarks on how each and everyone of us looked. My aunt, remember my blog  The Men In My Life Part 2? She was there too sitting on a chair. She looked so frail and yet she wanted to be apart of the welcoming team. The moment I hugged her, her tears rolled down her cheek. She is a lovely creature and will  always be close to my heart. Yang's mom was one of my favourite aunt too. I was close to tears when I saw both of them looked so small and fragile. We sat and talked and reminisce about the good ol time.

My main intention of writing this article was to share about how wedding reception and the banquet was done at this neighbourhood. I was both amazed and in awe by something so pure and unpretentious still exists in today's community. I was told that all the menus for the wedding reception was cooked by my uncle's neighbours and friends. There were white rice and ghee rice, black sauce beef , lamb curry, fried chicken, lentils curry and pineapple salsa. All these were cooked at the back of my uncle's house with the help from all within that neighbourhood. No charge at all. You too find that amazing? Wait till you hear this. All the chickens, the rice, the vegetables, and other items for the feast were chipped in by their neighbours. I would estimate an invitation was sent out to about one thousand people. They close the lane in front of my uncle's house till the end of the lane and erected a makeshift tent to hold the reception. I dare say my uncle paid next to nothing for his son's wedding. Ain't that something? I still find it hard to believe.

Now lets see the dessert. As if not enough with what they had done, the neighbours, again, took the initiative by cooking some mouth watering delicacies and sweet dessert for the guests and placed it in front of their houses. We can walk from one house to another and select whatever dessert we wish to take after that delicious lunch. I should have taken some pictures and upload here for all to see. I totally forgot about it once I saw all the endearing faces there.
There were also the tropical fruits, the all time Malaysian favourite, roti canai, the sweet and yummy red beans in coconut cream, and they even provided about five hundred burgers to be consumed especially for the children.
As for drinks, there were lime juice, corn juice, iced tea and hot milk tea.
All these were done in the spirit of goodwill and an act of benevolence.

To cook and prepare food for that amount of people is no joke. I would say for chicken meal itself will require at least about 60 ~ 80 pieces of chickens which had to be cut, cleaned and skinned. Then, there's beef  which had to be cut too in small pieces (taken from one whole cow!). The vegetables (carrots/onions/ginger/pineapple, etc..) had to be peeled and chopped accordingly which I am sure came from stacked of boxes which contained all sorts of vegetables. All these man power required long labour and hours if not days.
Thus, all in all the preparation for the banquet will at least take 2 days to complete. And that means, some of the neighbours who willingly participated in the process of preparation and cooking will need to take a day off from their working place just to be certain everything worked out well on the day the wedding took place. How noble!

I have never seen this being practiced anywhere else and I would say that was an act of nobility and a true neighbourhood spirit. To hold a wedding reception like that could easily cost us about thirty thousand Malaysian Ringgit. What the community in that area did was highly commendable as this kind of close knit togetherness saved us a lot of time, headache and money if we were to organize it on our own. What with today's high cost of living, this is one way to plan a  wedding effectively and affordable by all.

With a heavy heart we left at 2.30pm as we had to catch our 6 o'clock boat. After saying our goodbyes and countless cheek touching, we were finally on our way to go home. Right after we eased our way into the expressway, the traffic crawled. At one time, it didn't move at all. Normally it would take between 2 ~ 2  1/2 hours drive from where we were to the ferry terminal. But that day, we were so behind schedule. When we finally reached the R & R in Gurun, we stopped for about 15 minutes to perform our 'Asar prayer. Sara asked me if we have enough time to reach the terminal . I glanced at my watch and realised we most probably couldn't make it. It was ten to five and it's going to be heavy with traffic as office hours finished by five.
I took the wheel and drove like crazy trying to beat the time. Half way before the end of the expressway, the traffic crawled again, another accident. This time I know for sure, we will miss the boat. We tried calling the ticket counter but nobody picked up the phone.

We finally reached the terminal at 6.35pm and our boat was long gone. I tried to initiate for some refund or a discounted rate for our  un-utilized tickets but to no avail. We wasted fifty four bucks for that tickets and had to purchase new tickets and paid again another fifty four bucks. I was fuming but nobody was to be blamed except for the traffic.

We got on the 7 o'clock boat and the bloody boat didn't depart until after 7.30pm. We finally reached home at 9.45pm.
I was too tired to do anything else except get ready for bed.

And so there goes another day of my life. It was always good to see the old familiar faces once in a while.

I enjoyed my brief meeting with my relatives and look forward to seeing them again.

Have a nice evening people wherever you may be!

Kuih Ketayap/ Kuih Dadar Perisa Coklat

Salam semua,

Cara nak membuatnya agak senang. Bahan-bahannya senang didapati dan cepat untuk disiapkan.
**Saya tulis agak panjang, step by step untuk anak-anak yang nak belajar cara membuatnya. Jangan risau, tak susah mana pun.

Kita perlukan untuk intinya :

2 cawan kelapa parut putih
1/2 cawan ~ 3/4 cawan air
3 sudu besar gula merah
2 sudu besar gula putih
sikit garam
1 sudu makan tepung gandum

Masukkan kelapa parut kedalam kuali. Kemudian tuangkan air kedalamnya.
Buka api pada kadar sederhana.
Terus masukkan semua bahan lain kecuali tepung.

2 cawan tepung gandum
2 helai daun pandan
1 sudu minyak masak
1 biji telur
1 cawan santan
1 cawan air
sikit pewarna hijau
1 sudu besar serbuk coklat

Kisarkan daun pandan bersama sedikit air.
(Air jangan dituang sekali gus.

Pasangkan api sederhana. Pakai kuali kecil supaya senang kita nak lenggang sebentar nanti.

Lapisan ketayap yg dah masak. Letak inti sebegini
Untuk gulungannya pula, ambil sesudu inti dan letakkan diatas kulit ketayap, kemudian gulung sikit dulu.

Gulungkan sikit dulu, kemudian lipat dikedua2 belah tepi ketayap ni. Selepas dilipat baru gulung habis
Lepas tu, lipat dikedua2 belah kulit sebelum meneruskan dengan gulungan penuh.

Ketayap original dan ketayap perisa coklat

Untuk menambah perisa coklat, kita hanya perlu asingkan sikit adunan tadi menjadi dua adunan.
Satu adunan pandan, satu lagi adunan kita tambah serbuk coklat.

Penyediaan : 20 minit + memasak 20  minit.
Boleh dapat : 16 ketayap

Anggaran costing :
Tepung       : RM 0.60
Santan        : RM 1.00
Kelapa       : RM 2.00
Lain-lain     : RM 1.00

Jumlah       : RM 4.60

My Busy Weeks

Hello people,

What a hectic month it has been for me. Ramadhan comes and goes. Praise be to God for we had succeeded in completing the fasting month with patience and sincerity.

I had to be in Penang for my radiotheraphy treatment for three weeks. That means for 3 weeks I had to stay with my sister as her place is the closest to the hospital. Thanks to her and her family for their hospitality.

I drive daily from my sister's place to the hospital via expressway and Penang bridge which takes about 40 minutes to get there. I brought my 12 year old car (it has been  good to me all these while) to mainland for easy accessibility.

My final treatment was on the 16th.Aug. By 10:30am I am done. I am amazed with myself that I can still drive on my own right after my radiotherapy treatment. Doctors had advised I will feel slightly nauseous and headaches after the treatment. But I feel just fine. On top of that I can still fasting. (no drinks and eating from dawn to dusk)
So, right after the treatment, we, Sophie and I, drove straight from Penang Island to Kuala Kedah (took us about one and a half hour) to board a ferry that will take us to Langkawi Island.
Upon reaching home, I didn't have much time to laze around. The "Eid" is just 3 days away. Had to get myself to the wet market in the evening for some fresh meat, chicken, veges and other necessities. Being one of the islanders, we rely on food sources from mainland. That means during festive seasons, the tow boat or cargo boat will cease their operations for a few days. That is why I had to buy all those aplenty, enough to last us for a week. On top of that, I had given my words to the kids that I'll prepare some food for their school friends during Raya/Eid open house. For those who doesn't live in Malaysia, open house is a term we use during festive seasons where we cook a variety of festive meals and everyone and anyone can come uninvited to sample the food, but usually friends and families are the only ones who will stop by. Rest assured, even when there was no more food left, the host would still come out with some drinks and cookies for their guests.
The house needed some serious spring cleaning. I leave that to my husband. My job is to cook and the girls will help me with it.

The big day came and everything worked out nicely. There were about forty to fifty friends of theirs turned up.The food was plentiful and the sky turned out to be clear and blue. We would usually go for Eid special prayer at the nearest mosque in the morning but since we were having an open house, I missed out that particular prayer as I do not have enough time at hand.

The next day, we left Langkawi by the last ferry to get to Kuala Lumpur as Sophie will start her college life on the 22nd.Aug. Upon reaching Kuala Kedah, we met the guy who'd been good enough to look after our car for the past few days. Suddenly, the car refused to start. My husband tried a few times when at last it  started revving up.Oh my..let's hope it will bring us through 400 something kilometer safely.

We left Kuala Kedah about 10pm and stopped at almost every R & R (rest n relax) to while away the time so that we'll reach K.L not too early in the morning. We got there at 09:30am in one piece. The car worked wonders considering it's age and the long trip. The fatiqueness is catching up on us,especially me.  We checked into the hotel and the four of us just pulled the blankets and sleep away until after 2pm. Only then we went out to look for some food.

The next morning, we were busy with Sophie's registration and a briefing for student's parents conducted by the college officers. Finally we were free in the evening. Grab some food for dinner and head to bed early.
We planned to leave K.L early in the morning, like 5am. But we can only planned as this time our car refused to start at all. It was late and we had no choice but to leave the car where it was. We'll find a mechanic by tommorrow.
It turned out that the fuel pump was at faulty. The car had to be towed to the nearest garage. The car was ready by 1.30pm. We had to fork out RM540.00 for that stupid pump. Urggh..I need to visit a spa..pronto..

As we were about to leave this place, my heart is sinking. Sinking deep. I am missing my girl. She were to be left alone again. It's tearing me apart. I love having her with me and together with her baby sister, Sara we make a good team. Sophie called us The Three Musketeers. All For One and One for All..tagline for these trio was applicable to us as well.

When finally we got home to Langkawi, I was an absolute wreck. My legs were kind of wobbly and my back was hurting so much. I left all those dirty laundry until the next day and all that I wanna do is sleep, sleep and more sleep.

I am missing her so much that it hurts. Whenever she called and said she missed me and that she wanted to snuggle next to me, I cried. Whenever she said she hasn't had her lunch yet, I cried. What is wrong with me? She fared well the time when she were in the U.S for 6 months and now I am crying when she was just a few hours away from home? Silly me. I guess I am crying because this time she will not be returning home like she used to. This time around, she will only stay for a while coz right after graduation, she'll be starting to live a full life of a grown up, that means working. I am missing the moment when the three of us together. we will talk about everything under the sun, from weather to food to boyfriends and even politics. I am missing those quality talks with her and soon her little sister,Sara, will follow her footstep.

We,the parents, I am sure, share the same heart-breaking feeling, when they left home, the same sadness when the house went quiet without their laughter and the same loss when their finally lead their own lives without needing us to guide them any more.

Whatever it is, I am proud of my daughter. She may looked fragile and a softie but she's got a strong heart. She'll survive no matter where she is. I will always love you no matter what.

Okay, that's it for today. I am writing to let every body out there to know how hectic my life had been for the past month..ha..ha..as if anybody would care. Whatever it is..enjoy life while you can..

Bye for now,

Ayam Panggang

Hello semua dan salam dari saya,

Hari ni saya nak share resipi diatas dengan pembaca semua. Tak, tak, ni bukan resipi saya. Ini resipi dari Chef Wan. Hari tu saya tengok dia masak masakan ni nampak sedap. Jadi dua hari lepas tu, saya cuba sendiri kat rumah.

Bahan2nya (A):

6~7 biji cili merah
2 hiris lengkuas (hirisan nipis)
sikit halia
5 ulas bwg merah
4 ulas bwg putih
6 biji buah keras
3 helai daun purut (buang tulangnya)
sikit kunyit hidup (dlm 1/2 inci)

(semua bahan A di atas di kisar bersama dgn sedikit air)

Bahan (B) :

4 sudu besar kerisik
segenggam nenas yang dirincik halus
santan RM2.00
Sikit air asam (ataupun jus limau kasturi)
Garam
sikit gula

2 helai daun pandan (yg dicarik dan disimpul)
2 batang serai yang di titik

Sekarang kita mula masak:

Panaskan minyak didalam kuali besar. Masukkan serai dan daun pandan kedalam kuali.

Bila dah panas, tuangkan bahan2 (A) iaitu bahan2 yg di kisar tadi.
Biarkan sehingga pecah minyak.

Sekarang masukkan ayam tadi dan gaulkan rata.
Kalau kuahnya kurang tambahkan air. Masak atas api sederhana.

Ikut selera kita.

Disini saya asingkan kuah nya.

Inilah rupa Ayam Panggang Seri Menanti kita.
